
Galileo Desktop is a sophisticated global reservation, business management and productivity system – and your gateway to a world of travel content. You have access to the advanced tools for shopping and booking all air, hotel, car rental and other travel-related products available through the Galileo global distribution system (GDS).
Galileo enables the user to book flights, hotels and cars from a real-time availability display. The system is continually updated, providing current flight schedules, seating availability, car vendors and categories, hotel vendors, availability and search qualifiers, ensuring that agents have accurate, reliable information when making reservations for their clients.

- You have the option to work within either of the Galileo Desktop portals.
- Galileo Focalpoint™ is our traditional cryptic entry booking tool, which features new, interactive capabilities, colour coding and other ongoing enhancements.
- Galileo Viewpoint™ is a graphical user interface (GUI) booking tool with easy, point-and-click technology, eliminating the need to memorise cryptic formats.
- Our software development kit gives you tools to customise Galileo Desktop based on your unique business practices and the way your agents work. For example, custom solutions offer flexible layout, scripts and programmable functions to simplify and streamline booking processes – and much more.
- The Galileo e-Agent portal delivers value-added offerings, such as vacation packages, foreign currency services, and ground and sightseeing transportation.

- Galileo Desktop is a powerful solution that supports and enhances your business and revenues. Value-added options also help increase performance and sales.
- Training is minimal for Viewpoint users, with its intuitive point-and-click technology and graphical user interface. Agents complete transactions faster and increase customer satisfaction using shortcuts and links during the booking process.
- Interactive capabilities within Focalpoint enable agents to click on sections to simplify the process and reduce the number of cryptic entries they need to know. Colour coding lets agents quickly and easily compare on-screen results.
- Hotels can be sorted by price, and hotel maps populate surrounding areas with points of interest and major airport layouts.
- Low-fare shopping tools feature availability searches by booking class and return fare-validated flights.

Monthly Fee: $20.00 per month per system/terminal/license access.
GDS Access Application: $100.00 (one-time non-refundable) application fee for requesting access to the GDS. Individual setup fees apply for each system/terminal/license access requested.
Setup/Activation Fee: $49.95 (one-time non-refundable) fee per system/terminal/license.
Ticketing: Initially, all PNR's must be queued to TPI for ticketing. After you meet our qualifications, we will allow you to do your own ticketing. See TPI's Fee Schedule (above left column) for all related ticketing fees including issue, exchange, refund, void, etc.
Email Itineraries: Email itineraries directly to your client free of charge.
Website Displaying Itineraries: ViewTrip.com gives your customers a personalized, secure travel assistance website that provides immediate access to trip itinerary information, real-time flight updates, and personalized destination-based information.

Galileo Help Desk: Toll call to GDS. Toll-free to TPI (fees may apply).
Training: Free online training by GDS.
Accounting/Interfacing: Fully compatible with TRAMS back-office accounting software used by TPI. Certain accounting lines must be entered into a PNR. You will be provided with all the necessary accounting formats. All PNR’s once ticketed automatically display in TPICENTRAL system.
